Triang Spot-On
Triang Spot On furniture was produced in 1960. The style of this furniture being the late 1950’s The furniture made from moulded plastic and metal. It was sold in individual boxes, with the ‘Triang’ and ‘Spot On’ Logos, on a pink and cream box. The Range also included ‘Dollies Home’ introduced in 1962, which consisted mainly of room sets. The boxes they were sold in were printed to represent the room, kitchen, bedroom etc. The ‘Triang’, ‘Spot On’ and ‘Dollies Home’ range continued until 1964.
Jenny’s Home
As fashion and style move on so did Triang and in 1964, they launched a new range of furniture in collaboration with ‘Homes and Gardens’ magazine. This co-insided with the introduction of the ‘Jenny’s Home ‘ Room Boxes, many of them came ready furnished and could be joined together. Much of the furniture of the ‘Triang’ ‘ Spot On Range’, either changed in style or bright modern colours. Being made now completely of plastic, with the removal of the metal fittings. The packaging also changed with a move away from pink to blue, yellow, red and orange. With a smart new logo in a red and pink heart, with Jenny’s Home in the middle, and the words ‘the home that g-r-o-w-s around it. Individual items and small room sets, now on blister pack cards and room sets in plastic covered square flat boxes.
All Tri-ang Doll’s House Pieces are designed to go happily together. The enterprising doll can buy the furniture shown in this enchanting living room piece and be quite confident of harmonious results. For example, the sofa in the background may be obtained as these separate easy chairs, either toning or in contrasting colours. The winged three-piece suite is more luxurious but well worth that little extra; and the adjustable bureau, the bookshelves, T.V. and Hi-Fi contribute to the atmosphere of culture and relaxation. THREE PIECE SUITE 1004
The Triang Wing Settee and Wing Chair came in various colours, red, purple, yellow, blue and tourquoise, all in moulded plastic with metal legs. The style of these chair look odd, but are a reflection of the style of the time. The 3 piece suite is based on the G Plan Range, a picture of a full size example on Triang Style and Design.
JENNYS HOME SETEE J3020
The Jennys Home 3 piece suite, was no longer made of metal and plastic. It was made of flocked polystyrene. It is so light and fragile, I am surprised that any have survived. Any heavy handed child could have damaged these.

You can see from the chair little dents, and a little loss of flocking.
The underside of both the settee and the arm chair have a plastic base with little legs.
BOOKCASE 1005
The early bookcase had a metal base with short legs, in the Jenny’s range it changed to plastic. The Bookcase contains various moulded plastic books.
The Jenny’s Home bookcase was the same style as the original Triang, the difference is the base. It is now moulded into the main part of the bookcase, instead of being metal.

PHILIPS RADIOGRAM 1020
This Philips Radiogram has a drop down flap on the right which contains the record player. On the left is the radio with two small knobs. The Radiogram is made from moulded plastic, and has a metal base with long thin legs.
JENNY’S HOME RADIOGRAM
This is the Radiogram in the Jenny’s Home Range, it is in a lighter brown with a blue drop down cupboard door. The legs are now painted gold and are not so pointed. At the moment I am not sure what the model name is.
BUSH TELEVISION 1006
The Bush TV sets came with the stand in the same box. The stand is on a metal base with thin metal legs. The above picture shows two of the styles of TV, one with a black surround and one with a walnut style surround.
The Bush TV was transformed in the Jenny’s Home Range. Having now a turquoise screen surround, with a black outer case. The table also has thicker gold painted legs.

JENNY’S HOME TV CONSOLE JH2022
With the introduction of the Jenny’s Home Range, the Philips Radiogram [1020], was transformed into a modern stylish TV Console.
The door opens on the right hand side revealing an orange turntable, similar to the Radiogram.
Above is the final transformation of the TV Consoles. Made completely of coloured moulded plastic, with no opening doors or drawers.
WRITING BUREAU 1021
This Writing Bureau with an opening drop front and top panel revealing two small draws and little shelves and cubby holes. It is on a metal base with short metal legs.
The Triang Writing Bureau continued into the Jenny’s Home Range, the only change were the leg, which are now coloured gold.
TV CHAIR 1007
The G Plan TV Chair is of a rather unusual style, but being of its time. It is made of moulded plastic to represent upholstery, with a metal base with short legs splaying forward and back. The TV chairs were produced in various colours, red, purple, light blue, cream, yellow and turquoise.
LIGHTING 1048
The Standard Lamp has a metal base painted yellow and an orange lampshade. a wire runs up the hollow tube to a small bulb.
