Triang Dining Room Table 1000
You may be wondering why I am writing a post about a Triang Dining Table, but I think I have found something very unusual. I recently purchased various pieces of Triang furniture, including a Triang dining table. I could see the table only had 3 legs, but I was not worried about this, as what I really wanted was the middle extension section.
Once I got the table home, turning the table upside down, I discovered something very odd about how the legs were fitted.
As you can see the fitting for the table legs on the right are cast as one piece, then attached to the table top. The one of the left has 4 separate legs that slot into spaces on the underside of the table.
The middle section on the left table is different to the one on the right, and has a ridge that fits over the leg bars.
I was not sure if this was an original Triang table, but everything was the same size and style as the original one. It was unfortunate that there was one leg missing, but something about the underside of the table looked familiar.
This is the Jennys Home Kitchen Table J2011, when I turned it upside down I found that the legs were the same as the dining table.
As you can see the leg fittings are also the same.
As this kitchen table is a spare [The top is damaged] one of these legs will do as a replacement.
The leg was rubbed down to make it slightly narrower, and then repainted. There we go one new leg.
I would be interested to find out if anyone else has come across this table before?
