Jennys Home Bedroom

As fashion and style move on so did Triang and in 1964, they launched a new range of furniture in collaboration with ‘Homes and Gardens’ magazine.  This co-insided with the introduction of the ‘Jennys Home ‘ Room Boxes, many of them came ready furnished and could be joined together.  Much of the furniture of the ‘Triang’ ‘ Spot On Range’, either changed in style or bright modern colours.  Being made now completely of plastic, with the removal of the metal fittings.  The packaging also changed with a move away from pink to blue, yellow, red and orange. With a smart new logo in a red and pink heart, with Jennys Home in the middle, and the words ‘the home that g-r-o-w-s around it. Individual items and small room sets, now on  blister pack cards and room sets in plastic covered square flat boxes.  A full list of Triang Spot-On furniture can be found here.

JENNYS HOME DOUBLE BED 1008

Jennys Home bed is a much more modern turquoise colour, with no added mattress on top.  It is easy to tell if the bed is Triang or Jennys Home, as the headboard is two button spaces above the mattress.

 

JENNYS HOME BEDROOM STOOL 1011

The Jennys Home Bedroom  Stool 1011.  the legs are now gold and not so pointed.

This is the last transformation of the Bedroom Stool, it is now made completely out of plastic in one piece.

 

JENNYS HOME DRESSING TABLE JH2043

Jennys Home Dressing Table in a modern two-tone turquoise colour.  It now has less pointed legs, which are now painted gold, as is the mirror.

This is another variation of the Jennys Home Dressing Table, it has sloped drawers without handles and two solid legs.  I am not sure which style of Dressing Table came first.

 

JENNYS HOME CHEST OF DRAWERS J2023

This is the Jennys Home version of the Chest of Drawers, in a modern two-tone turquoise colour.  This chest of drawers came in a blister pack with a matching bedroom stool.

 

 

JENNYS HOME WARDROBE J2025

This is the first of the new range of wardrobe in the Jennys Home Range, in a lovely modern two-tone turquoise colour.  It has small plastic tags for the doors to open, as in the original Triang Range, these easily break.  The mirror on this wardrobe is showing its age, or is it a little distressed.

The second Jennys Home wardrobe , now has larger tabs which allow the doors to open and are also a lot more practical and less likely to break during play.

 

The metal hanging rail that was in the original Triang wardrobe, has now been changed to a small shelf, otherwise it is the same.

COAT HANGER 1025

The coat hanger is an inch long across the bottom, it is so thin I am surprised it survived.  These [2] would be packaged with the wardrobe, or sold separately.

 

JENNYS HOME FLOCKED SINGLE BED JH2031

Compared with the double bed above, this is a very simple piece of furniture.  A smaller version of the double bed, the mattress and base came as one piece.  As added comfort for any doll, flocking has now been added. [Mine is a little damaged, but a good example.]
