Jenny and her Family
Jenny arrived on the scene in 1966. This was followed in 1967 by other members of her family, Mum, Dad and baby Tim, also there was a rumor in the 1967 catalogue that there was also a brother Michael. All of the dolls are made of a soft plastic with wire going through which makes them posable. The early Jenny doll had moulded brown painted hair, later dolls had real hair.
JENNY JH45
The first Jenny doll JH45 had moulded brown painted hair. She is wearing a red dress and a light blue felt coat, also red painted shoes.
I don’t have a first Jenny, so I have taken a picture from the side of a box showing her. She is not wearing her coat in the picture.
JENNY JH50
This is Blonde Jenny with real hair, is waring a lovely red dress and pink silk jacket. She also has white painted ankle socks and shoes.
This is Brunette Jenny, wearing a pretty tartan dress with white collar and blue tie. She has white painted socks and red shoes.
MOTHER JH47
Jenny’s Mother and Father were sold as a pair so share the same number.
Jenny’s Mother has removable white shoes. These shoes are very tiny and quite loose on her feet, it is amazing they were not lost.
She is wearing an orange/red polo neck top and a brown skirt.
FATHER JH47
Jenny’s Father has brown removable shoes like Mother above. He has painted hair like the first Jenny Doll.
TIM
Baby Tim is completely made of plastic [hollow], with a painted nappy and painted face and hair.
The only person missing is the very illusive Michael ….
