Below is a selection of my Barton Toys Caroline’s Home Bedroom Furniture, from the 1976 catalogue.

There is nothing complicated about the design of this furniture, it is solid and well made. With a good use of different coloured wood.

DRESSING TABLE

This dressing table was sold as a carded item on its own or with various room sets. 1010 Bedroom, 1021 Bedroom Suite and the 1023 Twin Bedroom Suite.

The drawers on the dressing table are very simple, with one large drawer and no back. They do have a habit of falling out on there on accord.

WARDROBE

Sold as a carded item on its own the wardrobe also came with various room sets. 1021 Bedroom Suite and the 1012 Double Bedroom

The doors on the wardrobe open to reveal a little shelf for storing your hats and bags.

SINGLE BED

A single bed complete with bedspread was sold as a carded item on its own or with various room sets. 1010 Bedroom, 1021 Bedroom Suite and the 1023 Twin Bedroom Suite.

CHEST OF DRAWERS

The chest of drawers was sold as a carded item on its own or with various room sets. 1021 Bedroom Suite and the 1023 Twin Bedroom Suite.

I have no idea about dating Barton Caroline’s Home furniture, just using the 1976 catalogue for reference. I have three chest of drawers [4 in fact two match], each are made of slightly different coloured wood.

Looking as the back of these chest of drawers they have been constructed in different ways, I am not sure if this means a variation in the age of each piece.

The drawers are all made in the same way.

BEDROOM STOOL

Not sold as an individual item the Stool appeared as a carded item with the organ. Also as part of various room sets. 1010 Bedroom, 1021 Bedroom Suite and the 1023 Twin Bedroom Suite.

TRIMMED BEDROOM 1009

This is a lovely pink trimmed bedroom set, it is in good condition. Unfortunately the foam in the bedspread has turned to powder. These pieces of furniture would be sold as a set and not sold individually.

NURSERY HIGHCHAIR

Carolines Home Nursery — Sold in the Nursery Box set 1013, or as a single carded item 2063.

All white plastic Chair with tray, Table and Potty, the little tray on the chair lifts up. By removing the top off the table you can make the chair into a high chair.

ROCKING HORSE

DROPSIDE COT

Carolines Home Cot — Dropside Cot sold in the Nursery Box set 1013, or as a single carded item 2062.

The cot comes complete with a little doll complete with bedding. The Nursery was sold as a box set 1013, or individual carded items.
